JIAN’S
UNIVERSE
A big story that began
with a little curiosity
In words, in pictures, in sound and movement.
Welcome to the little universe where Jian’s thoughts sparkle.
The things I love
gather into a universe called me.
A short poem, a single drawing, endless questions.
A collection of the world as Jian sees it.
It celebrates loving something more than being good at it,
and growing more than finishing.

pulls in all kinds of knowledge.
Same ball, different time
1 second for Ttor, 2 for Makkeori
Jian drew this thought experiment on her whiteboard. Ttor the frog rides a moving cart and Makkeori stands on the ground, both watching a ball bounce up and down inside a tube. It is the same ball, so why do they see it differently?
From the ground, Makkeori sees the ball also move sideways with the cart, so it follows the slanted yellow dotted path. The path is twice as long, and if the ball (like light) moves at the same speed, Makkeori’s clock reads 2 seconds. Time runs slower for the moving one — Einstein’s idea of time dilation.
As the cart rolls, a point on its wheel traces the pink curve. That curve is a cycloid.

Jian drew the brain as a house full of rooms. Tap a room and the brain cell she drew runs over to it.

Brain cells gather here holding colorful pieces of memory. Today’s moments are stored here too.

〈 Teacher Jian’s Math 〉
“What is a fraction?”
Teacher Jian’s first lesson.
At the whiteboard, Jian becomes the teacher and explains fractions and divisors. Split the circle into equal parts and color them to join her lesson.

Curiosity comes
in many shapes.
When different worlds meet,
imagination grows wider.
When feelings turn into words
Little thoughts picked up from everyday life, woven letter by letter into stories.
Handing the world a question
Why? What if? One question leads to the next discovery.
Imagination in color and line
Beyond what the eye can see, freely painting the landscapes in her heart.
Speaking in sound and movement
Little notes and the curve of a pointed toe tell what words can’t.
Paint the paper
and Jian’s drawing appears.
